Montgomery Area Food Bank needs funds to expand its warehouse facility | News

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Area Food Bank now serves more than half the state - and that's a big need to fill. As a result, they need more space, and for that, they need your help.

The food bank now serves 35 of Alabama's 67 counties. Because of the expanded service area, the food bank needs a new warehouse to handle the additional goods.

The group kicked of a funding campaign for the new warehouse last year - they hoped to raise $2 Million.

To date, the food bank still needs $800,000 to reach their goal. Construction on the project will start in April.
