Millbrook to hold Military Appreciation Proclamation Signing Ceremony

Mayor Al Kelley and other River Region Mayors will host Military Appreciation Proclamation Signing events in their respective cities on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.  The City of Millbrook chose Stanhope Elmore High School as the site of the Wednesday ceremony, which will begin at 10:00 am.  The public is invited and should be seated by 9:50 am.

Lieutenant General David Fadok, Commander and President of Air University and Major General Sheryl Gordon, Assistant Adjutant General, Army and a delegation of invited dignitaries will travel together to each city to accept the Military Appreciation Proclamation from each city.  The Millbrook ceremony will feature the JROTC of Stanhope Elmore High School under the leadership of Major Wes Whitaker.

These ceremonies are planned to give each city an opportunity to express deep gratitude to all branches of service and especially those service members who have made the River Region their home.  Additionally, Lieutenant General Fadok will address those in attendance and especially students to raise the awareness of the importance of the military in our country, region and communities.
